Christopher Wallace. aka the Notorious B.I.G., is Kim in Brooklyn, New York, on May 21.
1989
Wallace dn>ps out of high school to instead sell crack on the streets of Brooklyn, in his Bedford-Stuyvcsant neighborhood.
1989
Wallace is arrested on a weapons charge and is sentenced to five years probation.
1991
Wallace is arrested in North Carolina for selling crack and is scn-tenced to nine months in jail.
1992
Wallace's demo appears in The Source's "Unsigned I lype," a column read by Uptown executive Sean "Puffy" Combs.
1992
Combs and Uptown chief Andre I larrell sign Wallace to Uptown, and Wallace begins to appear on several remixes.
1991
Wallace's first child, T'Yanna Dream Wallace, is born.
1991
Wallace's single "Party and Bullshit" is released to great reviews.
1994
Wallace marries singer Faith Evans in a private ceremony in upstate New York.
1994
Wallace's first album. Ready to Die, hits the streets and is an instant success. The album firmly establishes Wallace as a rapper.1994
Rapper Tupac Shakur is shot at a Manhattan studio. Shakur blames Wallace for the shooting, triggering the infamous rivalry between the West Coast's IVath Row Records and the East Coast's Bad Boy Records.

Wallace produces and releases Junior M.A.F.I.A.'s debut The Conspiracy.

Faith Evans delivers Wallace's second child, Christopher Jordan

Wallace is shot and killed in Los Angeles, after leaving a party
hosted by Vibe magazine. His murder remains unsolved more than
a Jo. adc later.

His album Life after Death is released posthumously, debuting at no. I on the Billboard 200.

Bad Boy releases Bom Again, a posthumous album that features several unreleased tracks recorded by Wallace before his death, and his single "Nasty Girl" becomes Wallace s first no. 1 Billboard hit in the United Kingdom.

1 lis family files a wrongful death suit against the City of Los Angeles, which ends in a mistrial.

Bad Boy releases Duets: The Final Chapter to high sales and lukewarm reviews. The album, a collection of manufactured duets between Wallace and other artists, was promised to fans as the last Wallace release.

Bad Boy relea-es Greatest Hits, which debuts at no. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
